Vojvodina is seeing a continued increase in the number of local and foreign visitors. The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia data for September shows the total number of arrivals at 48,356 (+16%) with 110,879 (+8%) of overnight stays. There were 24,189 (+20%) local guests visiting, with 63,389 (+9.7) overnights, 24,267 (+13%) foreign guests – also a rising trend, with 47,481 (+7.9%) overnight stays.
The number of local and foreign guest arrivals in 2017 is increasing year-on-year. In the first nine months of this year, 368,944 (+10.6%) guests visited Vojvodina, and spent 875,956 (+2.3) overnight stays. The number of foreign visitor arrivals is 174,571 (+12.7) with 369,202 (1.8%) overnights, while the number of local tourists, which was slightly higher, is at 194,373 (+8.6%) with 506,754 (+2.4%) overnights. The cities of Novi Sad, Subotica, Sombor are also seeing an increased number of visitors as do the spa centres.
In Serbia in September 2017, the number of arrivals increased by 11.3%, and the number of overnights by 8.5% year-on-year. In September 2017, the number of overnights by local tourists increased by 3.7%, while the number of foreign tourist overnights increased by 16.5% year-on-year.
