THE LITTLE CASTLE “DANIЈEL” – Stari Lec

When you turn from the main road and enter in Stari Lec on the left part of the road is the castle. Both castles in Stari Lec were built by the members of Armenian noble family Danijel and are situated in a village centre, next to each other. The big castle was built by Duke Pal Danijel in 1890., later the big rector of Tamiš rectory.

Smaller castle in Stari Lec belonged to Emi Danijel the cousin of duke Pal Danijel and was built in the second half of 19th century. In the both castles today is the institution for mentally disabled persons. Both castles are culture wealth of the great importance.

The castles are not opened for the visitors!
