In the period 24–25 May 2019, the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina organized the “Days of Vojvodina” in Pula. Citizens of Istria were shown the entire tourism offer of Vojvodina, as well as numerous gastronomic specialties, which are authentic for Vojvodina. Tourism organizations of Subotica, Novi Bečej and Bečej, wine and brandy producer Veselinović-Benišek, souvenirs from Novi Sad, Pastai doo and Novi Sad Fair presented themselves within the exhibition stand of the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina. Visitors had the opportunity to taste the traditional Vojvodina stew and enjoy the sound of tamburitza band. The event was opened by the Mayor of Pula, Mr. Boris Miletic, and the event was attended by the Governor of the Istrian County, Mr. Valter Flego, the General Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Rijeka, Mr. Goran Petrovic, and the Provincial Secretary for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities, Dragana Milosevic. The event was attended by a record number of visitors, the interest of the inhabitants of Istria for visiting Vojvodina is particularly strong during holidays with rural areas and farms as the most popular destinations. Within the “Day of Vojvodina” in Istria, the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina presented Vojvodina’s tourist offer in Umag at the Sea Star Festival. The tourist offer was adapted to the younger population. On Saturday, 25 May 2019, the Vojvodina Evening was held at the Hotel Pula. Guests enjoyed the sounds of the Tamburitza Band “From Bach to Sevdah” and traditional Vojvodina food.
According to official data of the Republic Statistics Office, visitors from Croatia are ranked first in number of arrivals in Vojvodina, according to the country of origin from which visitors come. The increase in the number of visitors from Croatia to Vojvodina in 2018 is 17.7%, compared to 2017, while the increase in the number of tourist overnights from Croatia is 22.4%.
