The Novi Bečej municipality belongs to middle Banat and is situated on the bank of the river Tisa, in the wide Tisa basin.
It covers an area of 609 square kilometres, has 23.847 inhabitants and 4 settlements: Novi Bečej, which is the municipality’s administrative centre, Novo Miloševo, Kumane and Bočar.
