The presentation of Vojvodina as an attractive tourist destination by the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina continued through participation at international tourism fairs. Thus, in the period from 6 to 10 March 2019 the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina presented the diverse and rich tourism offer of AP Vojvodina at the ITB – the International Tourism Fair in Berlin. This tourism fair is the largest tourism trade platform and meeting point of the global tourism industry. The stand of the Tourism Organization of Serbia featured the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, the Tourism Organizations of Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica and Subotica. Participation at this international tourism forum is of great importance for the promotion of tourism in AP Vojvodina, because in the past year there has been a large increase in the number of visitors from Germany, amounting to 14.3% compared to 2017, according to official data from the Statistics Office of the Republic of Serbia. Also in the period from 15 to 17 March 2019 the Tourism Organization of Vojvodina took part at PLACE2GO – the International Tourism Fair in Zagreb. This is also the largest tourism fair in Croatia. The comprehensive offer of Vojvodina was presented, and co-exhibitors at the stand were the Tourism Organizations of Subotica, Sombor, Stara Pazova, Bečej, Novi Sad Fair, Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce and the OPENS association. Visitors from Croatia are ranked first in the number of arrivals in Vojvodina, relative to the country of origin from which visitors come. Also, according to official data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the increase in the number of visitors from Croatia in 2018 was 15.6% compared to 2017.
